Standard recommendation letter for candidate members

To the EATLP Executive Board Dear colleagues,

I am writing this letter to support the application of [ indicate here: name and surname ] to EATLP (associate) membership.

Explain here how you know the applicant, make a concise assessment of her/his technical expertise in tax law and refer to some of her/his major academic publications, briefly outlining the contribution to the scientific progress in the field of tax law (including European and international).

Explain here your own assessment of the motivation by the candidate to apply for membership and why you think it would be good for EATLP to include her/him among its (associate) members.

Indicate here whether the candidate meets the criteria under the first, second or third limb of Article 5.1 (5.2 for associate members) (see guidelines for application).

NB - In case of an application under the second limb, your information should include arguments to support the equivalence of the academic functions by reference to teaching load (the candidate must teach a course of at least 24 hours, or several modules within a single course for at least 24 hours per semester) and right to be a promotor. In case of an application under the third limb, your information should include objective indicators of the international recognition of the candidate (for instance: she is a Judge at the European Court of Human Rights).

I hereby declare that I am available to be contacted by the Executive Board for any further clarification may be needed in connection with the admission of the candidate to EATLP.

Kind regards Prof. [  your name and surname, title and University affiliation) ]
EATLP (associate) Member
